Cedar Park Approves Improvements to Popular Pet-Friendly Park

The Cedar Park City Council recently passed a resolution for improvements to Veterans Memorial Park not to exceed $500,000. The park located at 2525 W. New Hope Drive, is also home to the city’s popular Cedar Bark Park, an onsite 5-acre fenced in dog park. Frequented by Travisso residents and their four-legged family members, the off-leash facility offers both dogs and their owners a fun and safe environment.

The project’s improvements will encompass the entire park and includes renovations to the dog park, turf renovations at the sports’ fields, expansion of the park’s plaza seating, and pool resurfacing.

At Cedar Park’s Bark Park there’s plenty of room to roam–for both people and pups! A spring or summer visit is a perfect time to experience all of the park’s special features. This Cedar Park jewel offers numerous amenities such as:

  • Multiple fenced-in areas
  • Small dog fenced-in area
  • Large dog fenced-in area
  • A fenced-in area with a natural pond
  • Doggie showers
  • Pet waste stations
  • Benches
  • Doggie drinking fountains
  • Shaded areas
  • Rinse off station
  • Doggie tunnel

The park is open from sunrise to 10 p.m. every day except Tuesday when it is closed for maintenance. Additional information about the park can be viewed by visiting the city of Cedar Park’s website or by calling 512-401-5500.
