Grand Opening Celebrations Begin at New Cedar Park Retail Development, The Parke

It certainly isn’t any secret that the City of Cedar Park is growing. In the last decade alone, Cedar Park has grown by 400 percent. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Cedar Park has twice been given the #1 spot as the fastest growing city in the country and has remained in the top 25. In 2013 the population was 61,283. The most current population figures is the 2016 Census Estimate that puts the population count at 70,614.

With the population in the area exploding, new retail and business enterprises are on the horizon including a new 400,000 square-foot retail development that will house a mix of clothing and lifestyle establishments, restaurants, fast food eateries, and convenience stores.

The Parke, a new lifestyle shopping center, located on the main thoroughfares of 183A and FM1431 in Cedar Park is taking shape and it won’t be much longer until the store fronts and eateries turn on their open signs. The Parke, is located just a short 5-8 minute drive from Travisso adjacent to retail giants Costco and At Home.

National retailers and big boxers that have already signed up for a coveted space in The Parke include Field & Stream, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Petco, Orangetheory Fitness, Tuesday Morning, Buy Buy Baby, World Market, Maurices, Bed, Bath, and Beyond; F21, Old Navy, Michaels, Marshalls, DSW, Nordstrom Rack, Sprint, and Ulta.

And there’s more, including 365 by Whole Foods Market, a new venture for the iconic nationally-known Austin healthy food chain. According to their website, the 365 stores are smaller in space and will carry quality products at a great value. The store promises to deliver just the right product mix that will invoke efficiency while providing a rewarding shopping experience. The Cedar Park location will be the first of its kind in Texas.

Also, putting in stakes at The Parke are Amplify Credit Union, Massage Heights, Mattress Firm, Palm Beach Tan, and Twin Liquors. Freebirds World Burrito, Potbelly Sandwich Works, Red Robin, Starbuck’s and Chuy’s are among the new dining options.

The word is that several of the slated store fronts and restaurants have opened or are beginning to schedule grand openings in the next month or so. Chuy’s, a 34-year Austin mainstay, already opened its doors at its newest location in The Parke on January 30. The Tex Mex favorite offers a variety of Mexican entrees and combination plates, appetizers, children’s meals, and beverages.

But, there’s more to come! Mark your calendar for March 3-5 when both Field & Stream and Dick’s Sporting Goods host their grand opening celebrations.  And, on April 26 the new 365 by Whole Foods Market starts a new chapter here in Austin—an event you surely won’t want to miss.
